Has your Akrapovic exhaust cracked like the MPE"s???

Just wondering if any of you akra owners out there are experiencing cracking like the unfortunate mpe owners out there. If yes please include mileage and time exhaust was on. What was done to address the issue. Pictures are a plus. No cracking on mines yet. Just installed last week.

Had mine 30k (miles) on the e92 and looked even better after 3 years with all the blue & purple hue on the titanium.

I dont think you have to worry.

Titanium (especially type 2, or CP) becomes brittle with heat cycles. I manufacture exhaust's for several off road companies and we see the "average Joe" buying a Ti system for his bike not knowing that he should have gone with a stainless system.
For example you have a budget-less Formula One team that is forced to pit because of an exhaust header leak is typically just a small pebble or rock that has cracked the fragile heat cycled Ti.
In my humble opinion Ti for everyday use is a great gimmick to "sell systems" and if you like the "look" of Ti then have a qualified welder weld your SS to make it look like a Ti system.
I posted a picture of brushed 304 SS welded to show the different colors that look very much like welded Ti.

We've had a ton of Akrapovic systems through our doors over the years, never seen one crack or failure. The Akrapovic systems are simply second to none.

Exactly. I had an Akra on my last car, an E9x M3. It probably has at least three years on it before I bought the car. I put two more on. It was still very solid, and even new looking, when I took it off to sell it. It looked like it only had 2-3 years on it. Not five. Great quality.

No problems after 15K on my M4. I also had Akra Evo on my F10 M5 and one of the exhaust valves started rattling. I sold the car, but Akra replaced the whole muffler, even out of warranty, for the second owner. I will always buy Akra whenever possible.

Ive had mine for a while now and although I never drive hard or drive much at all its pristine. Each time Im at EAS when I have had it removed it looks brand new. Akra is def the top of the line IMO and if you did ever have any issues I'm sure Akra would handle it no questions asks, I like to think they would at least

Have owned multiple akras and never any issues, top notch, no other like it, from DP's back and fitment is as good as OEM.

A local fabricator that has been repairing my MPE has only had to repair two Akra's in his fabrication years.....2 period. Since I already own the MPE I will keep repairing it

Is the mpe issue a repetitive issue? Re: repeated cracking?

Mine cracked around the exit pipes on both sides, 1st the r/h then a couple months later the l/h. Now it is buzzing again so taking it off to inspect

*update* took it off and inspected it and it is now cracking around the l/h lower can walls. If you look real close you can see the black line on the left right down the center of the joint. The fabricator welded some braces on the side exit pipes after the cracks around the pipes were fixed but now it is cracking in a new area..... un fucking believable piece of shit.

ugh, just had my MPE replaced for buzzing. I love the sound, but I really don't want to replace it after warranty.

Dang man that sucks. I wonder if the exhaust manufacturer has made some kind of fix so the newer ones don't crack. If not then I think I'll just skip the MPE option and stick with the stock ZCP exhaust because I don't want to deal with buzzing/rattles.

I'd get the Akrapovic if I had the choice. Sounds and looks great with good build quality. Shame the MPE couldn't be the same build quality.
