who said driving in the city is not fun

I usually take the train but stayed at the standard and said fuck it drive from westport. sunday morning after brunch was a fun rip through the city to the hutch. roads are terrible but love hearing the car rip through the buildings make it from the meat packing back to westport in 45....I was flying

Lol

The roads are truly awful. I've been commuting from NJ into midtown for 2.5 years... until I finally couldn't take it any longer. I'm on the train now.

Vehicle suicide driving into the city from Westchester or FF County Ct. I95 from Ct state line to the GWB is the worst stretch of road in the USA. I don't understand how they haven't fixed anything about this part of a major corridor?

The Hutch is a bit better but you can still grenade two tires at any moment. It just isn't fun owning a car in the area anymore.

It was safer for me crossing the minefield into Kuwait during the first Gulf War than driving my car on the Cross-Bronx, the Hutch, FDR or West-side highway.

Your nuts to do it as a DD.

word. i'd feel safer driving on the 38th parallel between north and south korea than driving down the FDR.

at least the cross-bronx has gotten a lot better after the repaving a few years back.

Driving in the city is fun. Like a third world country - no rules! That being said, Sport plus suspension and 6MT in lower Manhattan is just asking for it. Ow.

Amen to that.

My all time favorite is Canal St.
I used to cross it twice a day during commute a few years ago.
- no lanes
- no rules
- pedestrians darting across like moving cones
- cops standing around lazily, randomly, in the middle of the road, like stationary cones
- traffic lights treated as mere suggestions
- universal rules apply: he who drives the biggest or the junkiest car, or has the biggest balls, has the right of way.

You guys are funny. I love driving in the city, but try it with a front lip and then speak on your experiences.
