Headlight tint?
I got quoted $800 to tint my front headlights. The guy said it protects the headlights as well but this seemed like a ridiculous price I'm gonna shop around any suggestions on Long Island?

I mean thats probably why is 800$ but ask them. Tint on the outside isn't going to last very long but I mean with these new protective films there may be options. If inside the headlight, make sure they are reputable or your lights will be fogging and condensing and ruin your 2k+ headlights.

I was thinking that too but I don't want to take the lights out and I think that's the only way to do it right. They sell the tinted film online for like 60$ I may attempt it myself

By its very nature, what "tinting" does at any level is dim light transmittance
Is this the new trend amongst kids these days? Reducing the effectiveness of night time driving?

If u shine the lights side by side you couldn't tell wich had the tint at night. Idk what the kids are doing these days considering I'm 38 years old but people have been using tint for the past 40+ years. Be safe out there

Why would you want to tint your headlights?
