We sell a ton of JB4 and the number of issues non-related to bad install is less than 1%

Agreed, something is way off here and flashing it is not going to solve it.

JB4 includes a free logging software which is really useful for answering questions like "why is my car not making as much power as it should be?". Use the logging tool and post to BMS' support forum and they can help you sort it out!

Something is off, probably not tune related. It could be a boost leak if you recently installed chargepipes and a charge cooler, which I wont be surprise if you installed them at the same shop that did your meth kit installation But it could also be a dozen other things and you wont know for sure until you datalog.

Is the rolling diameter of the R888R different from the diameter of the original tire? What about the wheels - did you put on larger diameter, heavier wheels?
This doesn't explain the total loss of power and shape of the power curve but it's one piece of the puzzle. Good luck sorting out your issue(s)! |

Did he bleed your cooling system after the heat exchanger install? One thing explaining a drop in power is if the car is overheating (due to not bleeding properly). The safety thresholds in these car will pull back on timing if temperatures go up. Again, it's very simple to find out. Datalog your car making a run on the street and i'm sure someone here or on N54tech will be able to help you identify the issue.

Maybe, I guess the affect of a different tire size will affect the gearing so maybe it's the same as the difference of running in 4th vs 5th gear on the dyno.

Heavier tires and wheels can increase the (polar) inertia significantly. It requires more work/energy to drive the higher inertia wheel-tire.

The r888 is a heavier tire than stock. I went from BMW 19 inch wheel/tire combo to Apex 18 inch, 305 R888 and the "smaller" wheel, wider tire combo is actually heavier by almost 9lbs per rear wheel. Another thought is spark plugs, how many miles are on the car now vs. initial dyno. If you're past 7K miles on the same set of plugs, it's a good idea to swap them out, especially if you've been making some spirited runs frequently.
