Monticello is an awesome track. Very cool that BMW has chosen this venue for the North East. It gives non-members an opportunity to experience the course.

Looks very similar to the free M track days event but with the added $250 fee.

"Our lead-follow drills are specifically designed to get any driver’s adrenaline pumping. But the thrills don’t stop there. Drivers will move from classroom to track for drag racing, braking, instructor hot laps, and a timed autocross. Buckle up for something special."

Couldn't agree more. Been here with the CTS-V event and Corvette event.

Sat AM for me. Tried to do PM but it filled up quick once I got past some payment and registration issues

Will be upset getting up early but it'll payoff.

Monday afternoon session with Rid3r and 3 other friends. Limerock was awesome last year. this should be just as good!

you guys should also book hotels as there aren't too many to choose from.

Good point for everyone else.

I would recommend the Best Western Monticello at 16 Raceway Rd, Monticello, NY 12701. The ones in the actual TOWN of Monticello off Broadway are basically in a very shitty area. Its not great, but its probably the best of the worst.

Half day session in their car for 250 is a good deal except not sure what the content of the session is. How much drive and class time, etc. just curious

Me and some Mgruppe.org members are going May 20, from 8-1PM. If you are heading up, let me know. I'm staying at the Ramada Inn on Friday night ($130 via priceline). It will be great to have others come out.

Signed up for Friday morning. I live 20 mins from the track. Ramada is probably the nicest place to stay. We should all meet up Friday night if the majority of the people are coming up Friday night and going Saturday.

Content is heavy on sales/marketing, and light on driver education or training.
If you've done one DE in your life, you've learned 5x more than you would from one of these gigs.

On the other hand, if you just want to goof off on track with buddies, or want to compare different ///M-cars at "near DE" speeds with TC always ON, this format will work really well.

When it was free last year, I went to check out M2 just so that I would have an opinion on that car. Now that I've BTDT, paying $250 for a repeat doesn't float my boat anymore.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I m out considering I just went to M control clinic this week for which paid 750$ and had a blast driving all day long at crazy speeds for the given track and opportunity to learn from several instructors
