It depends. The ZCP will target slightly higher boost pressures than the non-ZCP. Boost pressure targets depends greatly on ambient conditions.
The Non-ZCP will target no more than about 18# and the ZCP will target up-to 20#. |

DME does not target PSI values but rather load values, which is why boost numbers will vary from 1 car to another depending on many factors.

The DME does actually have Boost Pressure targets, but it also uses load and torque targets as well and is very complex. There are a lot of tables for just boost/load/torque control, it's crazy.

Depends where you are reading it from manifold or charge pipe. The charge pipe will show higher numbers because the throttle body is behind it which has a tendency to close. Manifold is what really matters.

Stock Boost at 5500 ft above sea level 91 Octane (15 F80)
http://www.datazap.me/u/whoopass/sto...3-4-6-29-34-36 I think at sea level it will be more. The way that BMW engineers have mapped the boost curve is very linear and tries to mimic a NA car. you can see it has maxboost at 7k rpm. I would love to see a stock ZCP log as I think they changed the way the ZCP comes onto boost. anyone car to share. CaryTheLabelGuy you got any stock logs of your car? |
