Engine software upgrade to Competition Package?

Hey,

I was wondering, if it would be possible to have my 2016 M4 engine software upgraded to the Competition Package one? I would not need the other extras from the package, only the software.

VF Engineering offers a ZCP tune that does just this. You'll need to pull your DME and have it 'unlocked', like all of other flashes at this point.

Per Alex@Alpine, the dealer should be able to do this with a highly expensive FSC code from BMW using OEM software.

I've yet to see anyone post up about actually doing this.

Buying the FSC code. I'm not willing to find the post but I believe he said it was around $3-4K.

Wow. That is pricey. Much cheaper to just get a flash tune from VF or PTF.

One difference is if it's possible to purchase a CP FSC (109 I think) from BMW, it's under warranty by BMW. But all this $$$ for a measily extra ~20Hp?
