So Long F80, Hello E46 M3!!

Per some of my earlier posts, I recently moved to a two car system...was planning on DD'ing my F80 but I was putting too many miles on it, leaving it for extended periods at the airport, etc...so I recently bought a new GTI to use as my daily (perfect DD) and kept my F80 for weekends/nice days. After 3 months of this arrangement, it just didn't make sense to have such a nice (and expensive) car just sitting around for the occasional drive. So I recently sold it for a very fair price, and picked up a mint E46 M3 with low miles. I will feel better keeping this type of car as a true weekend car, that ideally will appreciate over time based on recent trends. I will continue to be active on this great forum, and I have nothing but good things to say about my F80 For those that missed my earlier post, here are pics of my new E46 M3.

I think that was one of the best body's created design wise, but I couldn't get past the outdated tech and interior.

I am thinking of doing the exact opposite (sorta). I have an E46 M3 that just sits in the garage except for track days. Thinking of selling it and just using the Beast (F80) for the track in addition to weekend cruiser.

Beautiful E46 with 6MT. Are you planning any mods soon?

Congrats!

I want to do the same. But I have a deposit on an M2 CS and I want to pick up a 2006 e46 M3 competition package in the future.

These two cars will keep me happy for a long long time. If the CS is a manual transmission.

Nice vehicle and enjoy it especially with the manual transmission it is the only way to go over the SMG of that series. With that being said after owning a E46 M3 I would have kept the F80. Great looking E46 M3

Wow, awesome car. Love that color combo! I also DD a 7 GTI, and I'd take a GTI/E46 M3 combo over an F80 all day!
