What is the object behind the blue metal in the passenger door? My lock clicks 3 times when i hit the unlock button the second time, so i took the door panel off after getting the door to open. and found this, after the door was open, i locked and unlocked the car several times and it seemed to work fine. Im taking it to my dealer Wednesday depending on which part it is. Thanks in advance.

And sorry for the lack of quality.

Question for you, is that silver colored rod in the upper left side of your pic supposed to be going through the hole in the middle of the plastic/phenolic part to the left of the red box?

I have no idea what I'm looking at... Looks like the inside of the door sill to me...

rc'z, That silver rod is the indicator tab that tells if the door is unlocked or locked, and yes it is supposed to go through the hole on the white tab( upper left area outside the red box)

Dammmit, If you take the passenger or driver door panel off, the pictured area is what you will see next to the lock cylinder. The part that "locks" the door to the silver tab in the door sill.

Is it possible that you are getting the multiple clicking noise because the rod is not in the guide, or did you take it loose for this picture.

I took the rod loose for the picture, and it still does the clicking noise when the door is fully assembled.
