Need help removing my E92 rear seats

E92 M3

I already removed the side cushions and the bottom cushions, just need help removing the folding cushions.

What size are the two torx screws connecting the foldable seats? The space there is very narrow and I cannot fit any of my tools in there, does anyone have a special suggestion for removing them?

You don't have to remove the support in the center of the rear seats. Once you remove the outer side mounts, separate/pull the seat backs outwards and away from each other. If you separate the seats far enough (requires some muscle and patience), then the large hinge pin will slide out of the other seat and allow seatback removal. Or at that point, if its easier for you, when you slide them apart far enough you can get your torx wrench in there to remove the center support.

its a huge pain in the ass and i sort of bent the little plastic-ish dowel that goes between the seats that links them through the center support. lots of bad words and banging coming from the back seat of the 'beef car that day. i used a pry bar to move the seat out of the way a little bit to get the torx ratchet in there.

I just recently replaced my seats, and confirm that I did not have to remove the torz bolts. I can ALSO confirm that wiggling them out and getting the new ones back in does take some time and patience!

By split, I assume you mean two-piece...then, yes.
