VTT S55 Stock Motor Power/Torque Record 734 WHP / 762 WTQ

Now that we're here on F80, time to catch up with some things we've done/been doing over at VTT.

Below are test results of our S55 Stage 2 turbo's, and as expected, they made great power. We picked up the Stock motor S55 power record, previous it was 728WHP, we made 734WHP, and 729WHP on two different pulls. While at it, we also managed to make 762WTQ on a (separate) more aggressive throttle map. Posted below are 10 runs all above 700 WTQ, and all but one above 700WHP from the two days we had the car on the dyno.

The 734WHP, and 729WHP runs were made on the E30 OTS BM3 map, no special tuning, however the E30 scalar is too low when high in the revs, and even with PI adding a lot of help we are just plain out of fuel.

Dzenno gave us a map with better E85 scalar, more aggressive throttle, and 2-3 degrees less timing. On this map it picked up tq down low and pulls clean all the way to redline. We consider the E30 OTS map to be a little too aggressive timing wise for these boost levels so we wont run it there; custom maps are always better and even more so at this power level.

As can be seen below, we're making 500WTQ by ~3300 rpm, and 700WTQ by 3800 rpm. This is a solid 500+ RPM better spool than anyone else in the game.

A big thanks of course To Dzenno at BM3 for the help, its fun working with him again! Also to Terry, Mike at EOS, and Bell intercoolers for the great intercooler. Not to mention the owner who let us use his car as a test bed!

There is one S55 making more power at 745WHP (11WHP more), which is a fully built motor, fully ported head, 9 second race car, and one car making more Power / TQ at 763WHP/776WTQ (14WTQ more) and is rumored to be running a 100 shot of NOS. Impressive? We think so...

Of note to those that follow the N54 scene, is the comparison of these to our built-motor N54. The turbos are very similar in flow capacity. Large difference in spool and holding power up top! As great as these results are, just wait until we release the S55 GC's....

Very Impressive power (and especially torque) on the stock motor.

Not without some significant methanol spraying, although it'll be interesting to see what we can do on the new GC's.
