Was this an OK, good or GREAT deal?

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to get your opinion on this deal I got this week on an M4 build. I have already signed some of the paperwork and also put a deposit down. Car is scheduled to be here either in Nov or Dec per the CA. Regardless if it was not the greatest deal out there, I'm sticking with it 100% and I can't wait to get my car.

Before I give you the details of the deal, here is some additional info:

1) I live in Central Florida

2) I'm buying the car, not leasing it and will finance through BMW. (Discount already added to the deal for financing through BMW)

3) I would like to keep the dealer's name private for now.

4) My CA has simply been phenomenal to work with. GREAT guy for sure!

My build came out to $77,095 (Already including Destination + Handling fees)

* Alpine White
* 19" M Forged Black Double-Spoke - $1,200
* Black Extended Merino Leather - $950
* Executive Package - $2,100
* Park Distance Control - $750
* Active Blind Spot Detection - $500
* M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic - $2900

The negotiated price before taxes was $69,488, which represents $7,607 OFF MSRP.
AFTER all taxes, fees, bla bla bla... my grand total came out to exactly $75,000.

So, in your honest opinion, was this an OK, good or GREAT deal?

Thank you in advance for your input!

PS: Man, I did NOT know that brand new M4's were so hard to find at the dealerships! Most of them barely had them.

how can we tell you if it's a good deal or not when you didn't mention what options the car has?

It could easily rack up another 10K just with options (competition package, executive package, M Performance parts, etc.)

Shoot! I clicked on "OK" on the poll by accident while messing with the mobile app. Please disregard the first vote. The system won't allow me to reverse it.

* Alpine White
* 19" M Forged Black Double-Spoke - $1,200
* Black Extended Merino Leather - $950
* Executive Package - $2,100
* Park Distance Control - $750
* Active Blind Spot Detection - $500
* M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic - $2900

For some reason, the Executive Package lists that it has the Park Distance Control but it adds $750 at the end.

And glad to hear your feedback. Thank you.

It is. And honestly, I was not really paying much attention to it. I wanted to order an M4 100% to my preferences. LCI is just a bonus.
Thank you for the feedback.

Wow that's a great deal. That's about 10% off msrp. is the dealer losing money on a new 2018?

I'm not a salesperson but I don't think they would give me a deal where they are losing money. I have heard of people getting more than 10% OFF MSRP. However, each case is different and things can vary from state to state too.
Thanks.

Doubt it, probably taking advantage of various incentives

$2500 credit on 2018 M4
$1500 loyalty (assume you have a BMW in household)
total credit = $4000
So u're basically getting $3607 off MSRP
Invoice should be around $72854.
Selling price before incentives is $73488

So they are selling the car at invoice +$633 roughly.

The deal is good and fair, is it the best? NO, but who cares, it is a good price and you will get to enjoy an amazing M4 .

I think that's a pretty good deal, I have a dealer in southern California that won't budge on MSRP FOR @8s. That close to invoice is really good. Enjoy the car!

Hello everyone! It's been 2 months now and my car has not started production yet.
I have contacted my CA today. (Please see email exchange below. I changed his name to CA and mine to Client. Again, I don't want to put him or the dealership on the spot. He IS a very nice guy but I don't know... Something just doesn't seem right.
Your input on what you think may be happening will be much appreciated. Thank you!

****

Good morning CA! Hope your week is going well.*
Today is the last day of the month. You said that the car would go into production this month. Any update?
Thank you.*
******

Good morning client, I just checked again on production of your car it has not started yet. I know you want this car before the end of the year let's just hope it will start soon. Remember we want your car started almost as much as you but we have no control over the factory in Germany. I promise I will keep checking and let you know as soon as I know something.
*
Thanks
***********

I’m very confused CA. The last time we talked on the phone, you said it would go into production this month (October) but the day in which it would start was out of your control, which I completely understood.*
Since today is the last day of the month, then of course I assumed it had to start today.*
Please advise.*
Thank you.*
*************

Totally understand but again we only know like you what we are told and we were told it was going to be a October start I will check again later today to see if anything changes. If there was someone we could call we would, I will let you know as soon as I can. If you would like to talk to my sales manager let me know or I can have him give you a call?
*
Thanks
**********

CA,

I truly hope you understand where I'm coming from and I'm quite sure you would feel the same way if you were in my shoes.*
I totally get the "unknown part" when it comes to dates, etc... It would be impossible for you to give me a specific start date. However, I find it very hard to believe that BMW chooses to do business like that where there is zero communication between you guys and you are left in the dark the entire time. It's been 2 months since I put my deposit down and I have yet to get some concrete piece of information regarding the production of my car. With all due respect, I can't help it but feel that you guys probably did not even have an allotment for my M4 yet I was told you did.*
My current 335i was a special build and the process and experience were much different.*
I don't know if speaking with your Sales Manager is going to help or change anything. At this stage, all I'm looking for is transparency from you guys. If BMW said that the card would go into production this month, I honestly don't think they would just turn around and say "Sorry!" and then provide no additional info.*
Please let me know what you find out today.*
Thank you.

I assume when you first placed your deposit down you got a production number? (literally the day you put deposit down). If not, that is first red flag. You should have gotten a production number that day before you left the dealership.

I am not really liking the whole "If there was someone we could call we would" from your CA ... that is literally what the BMW genius line is for for a consumer.

Call them at 844 443-6487 and give them your production number. That person should be able to tell you what week your car is scheduled for production for, tentatively.

Obviously I don't know the whole story and only see the communication you posted with your CA, but just from that alone it would appear that your CA is not entirely forthcoming with all the info and I don't like that.

edit: sorry if you already mentioned, but is your car an individual order? (custom paint or custom interior? or even an "Individual" option like Nutmeg interior or Tanzanite paint? that could delay it).

Also, since your profile says you are located on east coast, there is still the possibility the car arrives in December of this year even if it doesnt start production until sometime in November.
