black stone oil lab help!!
As we all know e92 m3 has 2 drain plugs, doing the black stone oil analysis today, but need help! does it matter which drain plug I need to take the oil from or no?

I'd say no, just make sure you don't take the sample from the very beginning or very end of the drain 'event' (ie don't take the sample as soon as the oil starts draining, wait a couple seconds then grab your sample).

Nope. I'd take the sample from whichever drain plug you pulled first, since that one will have 'cleared out' the most potential debris due to the heavier initial flow.

Another tip I was given: DO NOT put the excess oil back into the engine. If you make a bit of a mess and lose some, just add what you think was lost with new oil. Probably will not need to add much at all.

The are separated and must be drained individually. My rule of thumb is drain the front first so you don't forget, then drain the rear. When the rear is draining, count to 30 or so and take your sample.
