Northern California Dealers
If you are looking for a good deal on the M3, go to Steven's Creek BMW and talk to Mike Aries. I purchased a M3 sedan for a great price. Complete experience was very straight forward, honest and a good deal. I can't give you specific numbers but it is worth your time talking to them if you are interested in getting an M3. You will get better pricing buying one off the lot.

I ordered my coupe from Niello in Elk Grove for MSRP.......which was a fair deal at the time, however it seems the deals are getting better now....
If you can find an M3 in inventory that you want....you should be able to get it under MSRP pretty easy....

Ordered mine from BMW of San Francisco. Nyomi Balatti is a fantastic CA. I highly recommend working with her. And, yes, cars that are on the lot carry better deals than those ordered from the factory. I ordered mine because I was particular about options, etc., so I ended up paying sticker -- which I still think was a good deal since at the time of my order there were M3's on the lot with a $10K dealer markup. Of course they're probably not getting that now.
EDIT: OK... I didn't get such a good deal afterall. My dealer just listed an M3 'vert on Craig's List: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/683634307.html No dealer mark-up -- available to whomever wants it. Sortof sucks. I'm thinking about using this to get a better deal.
