I'm thinking yes, when it's sitting still, I don't see it, but when it drove by the first time, I feel it is SSII.

That's exactly how I felt. Wasn't too sure from the behind. But the pass by definitelt saw a color shift. Just wasn't too sure if there was another color I wasn't aware of. Picking a color is sooo difficult lol

Thanks man. I've narrowed my options down to two. Mineral White and Silverstone II. Now I just have to see them both in person on the E92. Saw an F82 in Silverstone, and it was a bit breathe taking. I've still yet to see a Mineral White, or maybe I did and didn't notice lol

It is, I wasnt too fond of the color until I saw some F80s and E92s in person with it. Then i purchased one. Love it so far!

It's better around sunset with hues of red and orange reflecting off the paint.
I also like the blues. The main colour I avoided was black. I love black cars but feel it doesn't show the carbon fibre roof off (which is standard here in UK).

Depending on the light, it can look very blue. I have never looked at it up close, but I suspect it has blue metallic flake in it.

99.999999% it is SSII. There was a few TiAG E9X M3s built.

SSII picks up the color of whatever light is reflecting off of it. Looks blue under clear blue sky, can be gold-toned at sunset, pure silver in artificial light. Looks amazing in low light, like under a streetlight. There?s a reason BMW chose it as the color for the press photos for the sedan!

This description is spot on. I own one and I'm glad I made this choice of color. My personal favorite is under artificial light in a parking lot during the night. For some reason it looks so sick. But yeah I also love the fact that this color is only available for M specific line up. Get the SSII you won't regret it

Thank you all for your input. I saw another this weekend. The Mrs. wanted to test drive the CLA 45 AMG, and there was an F82 in silverstone. She loved it, and would typically pick white over silver any day. Pretty sure my mind is made up.

What are your thoughts on SSII vs MW? Fot those that have seen it in person.

Mineral White is fantastic. Our opinions are not going to mean much as it's all in the eye of the beholder. I spent some time only looking for MW although I really wanted red and would have considered black. An E9X M3 is fantastic regardless of the color. Just make sure that it has the options/mods you want along with the color. Depending on how long you are willing to wait sometimes you have to sacrifice an option if color, price and everything else is perfect. Good luck with your search.
