That would suck for sure. If its true im glad I experienced it, but with BMW just recently renovating their lounge I cant imagine this is true. A change in the law would likely have been seen coming for some time, and it certainly wouldnt be a switch where people over their now were all of a sudden told they cant pick up their car.

Quite right. I tried the Porsche configurator - there's no option for selecting Euro delivery under "Delivery Experience." They have an option for the Delivery Experience Center in Atlanta - but no factory delivery in Germany.

I just heard back from my friend that works for BMW NA. He was at HQ last week and spoke with Larissa from the BMW European Delivery department, and she didn't say anything about this. If this was true, my friend would have heard about it. I call this "fake news"!

Regarding what? He was an instructor at Performance Center West and a Genius at a local BMW dealer while in college. When he graduated last year he was offered a job with BMW NA, located in LA. He was then assigned to Miami and moved there a month before Irma hit. He and his fiancee, and their BMWs are fine.

I doubt that he has any pull, particularly for some random guy on Bimmerpost.
