Tracking Grand Pavo - ETD Bremerhaven 10/13/17

So far it looks like candidgoat F80 and my F82 are on the Grand Pavo, I've done similar tracking for my Cayenne here before and it was absolutely amazing to watch the vessel crossed the Panama Canal so I figure I'll do the same here, hope there are more members' cars on this vessel that can benefit from this post

*Tip: It's much faster to contact the office at your dropoff location, in my case, BLG Logistics in Frankfurt. First time I called Genius and he told me my car already arrived statedside BMW online tracking is a disgrace to tracking

Grand Pavo (built in 2005) is registered in Panama and operated by Cido Shipping out of Hong Kong. It is a RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) type vehicles carrier that will leave Bremerhaven tomorrow with 8 port of calls and unfortunately for me, my stop is the very last at Port Hueneme in CA

With that out of the way, time for pictures! (Let me know if you can't see the pictures, dropbox has been annoying about hotlinking photos)

Here's a picture of her moored at Port Bremerhaven before

Here is the number of ports it will call for the whole voyage

Here's the schedule for Grand Pavo, different than what BLG told me which was scheduled to arrive on 11/09, so we'll see who's right

Finally, here's the timeline, unfortunately again, due to its number of port stops this is one of the slowest ship to reach west coast at 32 days, rest of them seem to be able to reach around 27-28 days. Digging around the forum, someone was able to get their car on this vessel from drop-off to key in hand in CA for a total of 8 weeks and 2 days, mine is already at 13 days and counting

and here's the start of the tracking, vessel's current location, our babies are being loaded!

to be continued...

oh nice! I haven't even checked that since the web kept saying it will show up 2 days after sailing

mine was loaded 11:37 but wow, the terminal received my car almost 2 weeks after I dropped it off at Frankfurt

will you be satellite tracking the ship as it crosses the Atlantic?

craziest thing I caught with my 435 in '14 was the ship passing a webcam in Ryde both on its way into and out of Southampton, but I can't find the webcam currently.

so over the weekend Grand Pavo arrived Zeebrugge in Belgium and left. It is now en route to UK's SouthHampton port and currently in the English Channel. If I converted the time correctly, it will arrive that port tonight 10/16 at 9PM PST

not sure why it made a U-turn, hopefully the weather is not tooo bad

yup, if time permits, however, it looks like the Southhampton cam is currently down

but the coolest thing i've seen was to watch my other car crossed the panama canal at the miraflores locks

Here's a new link to the Isle of Wight webcam overlooking the route into and out of Southhampton:

Probably just killing time until a spot opens at the port -- the ship is only a couple hours' sailing from southhampton now, so I assume it'll head in after midnight (local time) to hit the 5:00 am eta.

I read a lot of ships are moored due to the hurricane so you are probably right, it's currently out of room for berth

Passing the webcam now if you're online. Dark there, sadly, but you can kind of see it.

EDIT: Screenshot attached.

LOL, I was watching and all I saw was blinking lights in a pitch black screen so didn't think it was post worthy but thank you for finding the ship!

Should be out on the open waters of the Atlantic later today. Anxiously awaiting for it to get going.

Same - I've been watching it all morning (as if it won't still take a week to get to baltimore...)

It is a lot of fun finally being on a boat and able to track it. I didn't do ED, so I will be meeting mine for the first time when it gets here.
