Reasonable offer for this m3?
Been shopping for a while now and found this M3 about an hour from where I live. I test drive it and it felt great and paint was pretty flawless. Interior had a few blemishes like driver side door handle peeling and steering wheel peeling very slightly but nothing some tlc can’t fix. I also traced the Vin and the owner was a member on this forum who sure as hell didn’t cheap out on parts so I assume he didn’t on maintenance either. They bought the car from him in So-cal and had it shipped up here in Nor Cal. It’s also lowered on b&g springs and that’s it as far as mods go besides kidney grills, etc.
I really like this M, low enough miles, great paint, fully loaded, and in my area. The dealer posted the car a month ago for a crazy price I believe at $35k and it’s been dropping 1k every week now. It’s now at $29,888 and for an 8 year old car with 63k miles seems pretty high. What do you guys suggest I offer them, I’m thinking $28k? That’s what Bluebook claims it’s worth. http://www.marinimports.com/vehicle-...ca-id-20075784 |

That's priced too high for an '09 with those miles. $25-27K is more in line. No heated seats, no Competition Pkg.
By comparison, my '13 with Competition Pkg, DCT with 25,000 was $38.8K.

I read your thread in the new post section and about 15 threads down there is this:
https://ca.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...ting=187746457 Price is right, a year older and a tad more on the mileage but the car looks flawless and is a stripper, very attractive for enthusiasts. Posting just in case you did not see it or may consider it. If I was in the market I would take a serious look at this one. Either way, you're close to making a decision so a pre-emptive welcome to the M3 family.

I don't think the price is that high, but obviously you'd offer less than the dealer's listed price.
FWIW it's not 'fully loaded' either, though nicely optioned. Missing Cold Weather Package, rear sun-shade, PDC, extended leather, & alarm. |
