Wheels for winter tires and track tires?

I'm thinking of getting a set of wheels and run winter tires on them in the winter (duh!) and NT01s in the summer for track days - has anyone done this before?

It appears that most folks run a narrower square setup for winter tires, but prefer the staggered setup for the track?

Anyone done this before? I'm thinking probably go with a staggered 18" setup and go with Blizzaks for the winter and then the NT01s for the track.

I have two sets of 513Ms and run the 4 x 9" setup in the winter, and the 4 x 10" on the track*.

* with 12mm spacers in the front.

Do you need spacers on the 513M 18x9 square setup for winter or do they fit?

Thanks!

No spacers needed for square 9” ET29, fitment is perfect.

Fantastic! Thanks. Also looking at HRE FlowForm FF04 19x9, ET25 to do the same for a square setup (price about same as 513M). Like a little less flexibility in the winter sidewall, But really like the look of 513s in person...Will probably come down to being able to get winter tires this late & available sizes.

Doing the same OP. From what I have seen it is very common.

My question is how aggressive on offsets? Need to balance track vs winter.

I have 12mm spacers all around and want to run a 18x9.5 et22 wheel but might have to take spacers off for winter???

Not sure how flush vs poked the set will be??

There's not many wide winter tire options for 18", so using the same set of wheels for track and winters won't work. I suggest doing 19x9.5 ET20 front and 19x10.5 ET34 rear.

For the winter, run Pirelli Winter Sottozero 245/35/19 front and 265/35/19 rear.
For the track, run R-compound 265/35/19 front and 295/35/19 rear.

Can anyone suggest winter tires (size) for the stock 18" 513m wheels?

255 40 18
245 40 18
245 45 18

Tip: look at speed rating, dont buy H index tires.

I know its in your list but could you really fit 245/45 r18 all around on the 513s including the rear...can also go 255/45 r18....only sizes available in a Nokian R2...

245/45 R18 will be fine, a couple of forum members were running such setup, I even saw some pics in the winter wheel thread, I think.

As for 255/45 R18, I have not seen such a setup, but since I hear people are running 295/35 R19 in the rear (M5 rear tire), I am guessing 255 45 18 should work (the diameter of both tires is similar).
