limited battery power

i have recevied every time i start my m4 a message that says limted battery supply or power. on scan my dme code comes up as a fualt would the non bmw battery i have on it, could that be the reason dme came up as a fualt ? 2015 m4 drives fine but drive malfunction comes on after 10-15 min then gos away after restart? any ideas PLEASE HELP!!!

Did you have the battery registered to the car?

Yes, take it to BMW. The battery has to be registered to your car. Also hope it is the right Lithium battery or u will be looking at about $1000 US

would that be the reason for malfunction or dme code on scan? drives fine for first 15 min then malfunction and idle is just a tad just a tad missfire car has warranty. but orginal battery has water on it ill have to highly clean it so i can get one for free with warranty

Did you check your battery cables? Maybe a cable came loose for some reason.
