getBMWparts or ECS tuning?

Hello Everyone,

If you were going to pick one to buy parts from, which one would it be?

Thank you.

I've bought from both, however, getbmwparts is often cheaper. Don't forget FCP Euro, they're great too. If you're worried about getting genuine parts, I've never had an issue with any of the above folks.

Both are good, both ship quickly assuming parts are in stock.

ECS just annoying with all their emails, I have to unsubscribe after every purchase as they hammer my inbox with so much crap.

ECS has free shipping too and when I was shopping for the same parts from both of them the free shipping from ECS ended up cheaper overall

Tischer is often cheaper, but they get you back with their high shipping costs. ECS is a few bucks more, but they ship fast and often times its free.

My vote goes to ECS. I personally think Tischer takes too long to get parts in stock and ship out.

That's good to know. ECS show they would ship the parts in 3 days. Tischer don't say anything, but I am sure they also don't have the parts ready to ship. Difference in price is $61 favoring Tischer.

FCPEuro has lifetime warranty on ALL parts, they are usually my go to.

X2 here. Although haven't had to replace anything. We'll see with my plugs in 30k miles.

ECS can be good for OEM parts (not necessarily BMW branded) while getbmwparts is great for OE (BMW branded)

Most people don't understand that FCP's warranty is at *your* discretion too! Your brake pads are 1/2 worn, and you simply want new ones? Return them for free replacement. Rotors ruined with cementite deposits from the track the day after you bought them? Return for free replacements. Always have fresh rotors, since it is unlimited replacement. You literally never have to buy that part again, regardless of whether it is a wear part or not, and you get to choose when you want to replace it. Unlimited. (for now)

Fcp will have to limit the terms as people abuse the warranty and there appear to be a bunch of people who plan to abuse it. One guy returns his used oil filters for new ones.

Ecs for sure. Tischer is slow and not as easy to deal with.

Ecs is drama free and gets it right every time.

You would think, yeah, but since they encourage people to take advantage of it, I'm not sure they think of it as abuse (yet). FCP has no issue with anyone using the warranty as it is designed (so far). The interesting part? Very, very few people actually utilize it which, I assume, is what they are counting on.

^^This, it's almost exactly how big companies PLAN on you not taking advantage of rebates and it works like a dream.

I'm really not sure why everyone isn't ordering from FCP.

I used to use ECS and will never go back.

Lifetime replacement is too good to pass up.

Another bonus is if you live in Canada, shipping is far cheaper than ECSTuning. EcsTuning does not have an actual shipping calculator and just spits out a random high price.

I once wanted just a sticker (label). ECS wanted $40 to ship it.

Do they ship cross border?

That's the big difference for us Canucks between ECS and Tischer.

Both are good but as someone else said the amount of spam ECS sends after a purchase is insane. I mostly order from Getbmwparts due to this.

No kidding, it seems like I get an email from ECS every hour lately.

I've bought lots of stuff from oembimmerparts.com for my e46. they ship to me in CA often the next day. they're starting to carry more parts for the M3, but the selection is still thin. i basically shop around between ECS, FCP, and oembiimmerparts and even ebay as some dealers will sell genuine warrantied parts there.

Not sure why people wouldn't choose FCP in the first place.
Free shipping + life time warranty+ decent price.
What else do you want?
