How to unplug CIC controller

I am returning my CIC controller back to the original CCC controller.

My problem is, there's a plug that runs into the CIC controller and it refuses to come out. I'm hesitant to yank on it hard bc if I break the wire pins I'll need to replace the whole harness.

I tried to jiggle the plug head and it won't budge. Any tips?

YouTube only shows people removing CCC plugs with a solid yank on the cord.

Is it one of the plugs that has the lever that locks it in? For the knob, it just pulls out.. get your needle nose and pull

All those plugs should be rather easy. Snap a quick pic..

Are you selling the car or something?! edit: just saw your sig.. hope you have great plans!

Thanks. I'm selling my M3 for a M6GC, so retuning it to stock.

No the plug doesn't have a latch, lever nor a pin. I've tried the needle nose already too. Here's a photo.

Yank it backwards, it will be fine.

A quick motion should do the trick. If the pins break it's easy to put new ones on, replacing the harness is not needed.

Mike! Thanks so much for the feedback. You're just the guy with experience that I needed to confirm this.

I did exactly as you said... Take the non-pussy yank, and came out like it was supposed to.

There had better be pu$$y involved when you are yanking or you will have to change your user name from FlyingAce...

Edit: Yes!!!! FlyingAce gave me an "appreciate". And everyone knows that he doesn't just give those away, they must be earned.
