Thinking of cancelling my 2018 F80 for the 2019 G80

Well, my orders to Germany got pushed to the right. I am no longer going in March and Now I'm going in July. My dealer in Germany said I have until the first week of April to change my mind. So I could cancel my order for my 2018 F80 and wait a few months and order a 2019 G80 at about a 5% increase in cost over the 2018. What are y'alls thoughts? I need to see it first and see performance numbers.

MY2018 is the last year for the F80 M3.

Going by the F30/F80 release dates there was about a 3 year gap between the 2, so if the G20 is released in 2019 then we probably won't see another M3 until 2021

There's always a few years gap between release of new 3 series and new M3. Highly doubtful there will be a M3 for 2019.

MY18 is the last of all current-gen 3 series, which ends production in October or November 2018. The next-gen non-M 3 series wil begin production as MY19s. We'll probably see them stateside in early-2019.

MY20 is the last of all current-gen 4 series. The next-gen non-M 4 series will begin production as MY21s. We'll probably see them sometime in late-2020.

The next-gen M3 and M4 will begin production as MY22s. We'll probably see them sometime in late-2021.

This schedule is well understood by all knowledgeable BMW people, which would naturally exclude BMW dealers.

Nope, what others said, it's going to be years before you can order the G-platform successor.
