Adaptive suspension help in cold weather?

It was a chilly -16F here in Minneapolis this morning. My X5 is garaged over night, so that probably kept it around 10F.

Our roads heave during the winter when it gets this cold, so this wonderful bumps appears at seams and cracks all over the place.

As I was enjoying the jarring ride it dawned on me after all these years and all these X5s that the adaptive suspension may perform better on roads like this.

Does anyone know if you put the adaptive suspension in the softest mode if it will make the ride more palatable on a day like this? Seems the regular suspension literally freezes up when it gets this cold. Other cars do the same thing.

Thanks

I've been around the metro quite a bit and feel like mine rides very well. Whether or not mine rides better due to the adaptive suspension is anybody's guess... but I wouldn't at all describe my ride as anything near "harsh". I should also mention that mine has DHP as well. I do notice the winter change when the roads get worse but still feel that it's a pretty nice ride and does well absorbing the Minnesota highway moguls. Mine has 20" staggered with Continental non-run flats (DWS). I do keep mine in comfort mode almost all of the time (I'm an old fogey, ya know!).

Just got our first/only heavy snow of the year and after low 20s and frozen roads the last several days I have noticed little to know difference in the ride qualify on these ice and snow ridden roads between comfort and sport.
