Can't find a used AW or YMB M3 with 6MT and ZCP
I am in the market for a '16 or '17 M3 with ZCP, but I am unable to find AW or YMB with 6MT. Am I better off sacrificing the color I really want or sacrificing the Competition Package? Which one will I regret more?
Things to keep in mind: - This will be a weekend car for me only, not my DD. - I live in NJ so not the best roads, but definitely not the worst either (nothing like NYC) so the 20s shouldn't be any issue with ride quality in my area. - I will not be tracking the car, just weekend fun factor. You may as well get Cp. The value of wheels alone will be worth it in your case. Cp is slightly firmer but neither car is plush riding when roads are bumpy.

Competition Package, I would recommend that. Extra hp, 20" wheels, different seats, better exhaust sound.

I feel like this is one of those trick questions your wife asks you. There's no right answer. So my answer is - do whatever makes you happy. Am I right?

Ok, so you're in NJ. I just searched out mine since my dealer had no allocations. Found it in Delaware, and dealer was able to get it. Use Bimcar.com to search with the options you want. I am seeing quite a few AW and a couple YAS M3's out there, 2018, ZCP, 6 speed. Now many of them have other options as well so you'll need to narrow it down. Have you gone to a dealer and had them search for you? If money is not an issue, go for a 2018 already on the ground. Seems to be plenty of them out there with what you want!

A white M3 is the most common color on autotrader. You may have to settle for Mineral White instead of Alpine White but the odds of finding a 6MT + ZCP greatly increased since you’re in the market for a white vehicle.

Non-CP, DCT in a color you hate is the way to go.
Seriously, you just need to figure out your highest priority or two highest priorities and see what’s available with that filter to make a choice from there. Only you can determine what you value more.

Well if 6mt if your #1 priority then that is where you start. Already greatly reduces the number of cars available. Then just go from there based on mileage/condition, price, color, options, etc. If 6mt is the only true must have for you then I would just keep an eye out for the best example you can find, regardless of color or options.

I talked to a salesman about the M3 I linked above. I think they would be willing to move some on that price. |
