Lowering Link Issue - Rear Links

Hey all - was hoping someone could shed some light on an issue I am having. I lowered the front of the car with Eibach springs; and the rear with some lowering links. Upon installing the rear lowering links (they are adjustable), the drivers side shock would completely deflate when parked for about 2 hours or more. I thought it was possibly an issue with the strut, so I replaced them with the factory links and everything went back to normal. I then ordered another set of links from H&R thinking perhaps it was the link that was not designed correctly - but after installing these, it seems like I am having the same exact issue. Does anyone have any idea on what the issue could be?

check to see if you cracked or broke the arm for the sensor... it is the only thing i can think of that would make your vehicle behave like this.

Ahh, how/where can I check that? Do you have a part number for that arm?

the arm is attached to the sensor. it can only be replaced together.
if the vehicle was on a lift or jacked up make sure you did not pinch the bag when you placed it back on the ground and then created a hole in it from the friction.

^^That is bad news; got a part number for the driver side setup?

If the bag was pinched, wouldnt it drop all the time? Same for even the sensor, it only happens with the aftermarket links. I tried some custom style, and than the actual H&R links and the same issue with the driver side dropping. However, when the OEM links are reinstalled all these symptoms disappear. Its so weird

It was jacked up, but the car was turned off. The weirdest thing is it returns back to normal with the OEM links reinstalled..

take a photo of the links you are attempting to you next to the stock links.
something isn't right with the lowering links or they sound like you may have bootleg ones.

I just had one of my bags replaced by the dealer because of a hole in it. Last time it was in they replaced the shock on that side because it was leaking and I suspect it got pinched when they were doing that. Mine only deflated every so often...probably once a week. My point is, yours could still deflate with the stock links in but happen less frequently. Maybe the position of the bag and where the hole is...just a thought.

bring it in with the stock links so they don't just say "aftermarket part not operating as designed" and then do not cover anything. secondly, if you have photos of it sagging bring those too in case they state they "cannot duplicate issue".

Ended up not swapping the links; SA is super bomb - checked it anyway. It was a leaking rear bag. I still dont get how it didnt deflate with the OEM links were installed!

What did i win?

As I stated earlier I believe the other shop botched the install some how but I am confident that this time around the bags will seat properly into the housing and you should not have an issue.

What setup did you end up with? Eibach and aftermarket rear links, HR links or OEM links. If Eibach front springs and rear lowering links, how is the ride comfort difference?
