Eco Pro vs Confort mode

Hi all, i wondering and didnt found in the forum the difference between those modes driving. Eco pro only gives a "switch off" between the engine and the steps (1-8) while you dont put speed. Thats all?

It will also allow the car to "freewheel" off power - disconnecting the trans, putting the engine at idle speed, and allowing the car to coast until you apply throttle. I use Eco-pro when I'm on the highway with cruise control engaged, but the throttle is very sluggish. You really have to get into it to make it go. Around town, I'm usually in comfort or sport. The settings have 3 completely different personalities, at least in the 35d.

EcoPro has benefits while driving on country roads, not highway. Read the user's manual.

I agree that there's limited advantage with cruise engaged. Here in the northeast, you have to frequently disengage for traffic, and this is where Eco-pro adds most of the efficiency. I'm not a big fan of the feature on back country roads where it takes the responsiveness out of car, but I agree it improves economy. It just doesn't feel like a BMW when Eco-pro is active on back roads.

The cold greatly affects the range on the battery. On my i3 in the winter I get half of its normal range.
