No more M4 allocations?

Buddy of mine just got back from a local dealership. Apparently they told him there are no more 2018 M4 allocations as of January 15. M3 allocations are also long gone of course. What's the deal? Is there any truth to this?

I placed my order last Thursday on a 2018 M3. So, not true

The week before last my dealer got an allocation for an Individual 2018 M3 for Euro Delivery and called me with the production number today. Just waiting on Munich for approval of our requested delivery date.
