Strut Compressor Tool
What have most of you been using to change out struts?
I'm looking at changing mine using the existing springs. I'm a little afraid of the type you can borrow/rent from Autozone. I can take the assembly to a shop and pay to have the replacement done, but, 2 times doing that and I could have bought something pretty good. So... considering something like the Schwaben tool that has adapters for various springs.

If the budget was there and I didn't have low mileage springs and hardware, certainly would be interested. When my next changeout is needed, or I get another burr in my saddle for a new setup, will do.

Kind of chicken with the two piece types because of a #%$ up with Audi struts long ago. I was about settled on the horseshoe adapter type as those seem like an easy safer way to changeout a strut. My only reservation is can that assemble a strut with the spring not compressed on the strut?
