Is it possible to lock the key fob in the car?

Tried doing a search, no dice. Anyone know if you can lock the key fob in the car manually? I had heard it's not possible with the trunk and wondering if inside the car is the case as well. Need to do a late pick up from the body shop.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's possible. Someone may contradict me here, but you are definitely correct about the trunk. Another possibility would be to put it under the hood, then lock the car. That might work.

You can do it by putting the FOB in the trunk, and then using the lock button switch to lock all the doors. Make sure to take out the key from the FOB before you close the trunk

If you're carrying both fobs, you can leave one in the car and lock it with the other.

Wrap the Fob with aluminum foil. It will block wireless signals and from communicating with the car.

Just ended up telling the body shop to leave the fob in the car and I locked it with the app.

This car is often smarter than I am. On several occasions I found myself cursing the car when it wouldn’t lock then I realize it’s because the keys are still in the car. I can see wanting to lock the fob in the car at a dealership or other secure area but would not advise doing so out in the real world as the car could be stolen with relative ease.

Yeah a few ways...
As others have said, the connected app.
Another way which somehow some of my customers like to do...
Open the trunk.
Lock the car, throw your key in and close the trunk.
Good chance it'll lock the key in the car.

I do the same...When I go surfing, I wrap the key in aluminum foil and leave it in the car. I put the valet key in my pocket when I'm in the water and to get back in the car after.
