Brake Pads - Florida

I wonder if someone could help me out with prices for Front & Rear pads from BMW dealers in Florida?

I go back and forward for Business and wondering if there was much of a saving over UK dealers.

Thanks in advance.

I thought these pads last a very long time? Are you tracking your car? How many miles do you have?

They are not gone yet, just a pre-emptive strike as such; however 2 days at the
Ring, 2 days at Spa, 1 day at Zolder, 1 day at Blyton Park and 2 days at Knockhill take their toll. Before the end of 2018 there will be another 2 days at the Ring, 2 days at Spa a Knockhill and Bedford Autodrome.

You're probably better off going with an online source that discounts OEM parts and have them shipped somewhere in the States where you can pick them up when you come here.

The dealers here really don't discount from MSRP unless they're closing out inventory and/or you are having the work done at their service department and they'll cut a bit off either parts or labor.

Here are some leads for you:

With all the track days planned you may want to think about going to a more track friendly but very street-able type pad like the Pagid RSC series, or make the change over to steel rotors and run something like the RSL endure pads.

Stupid question.. doesn't the Ceramic Composite Disks on the GTS require the use of the Pagid RSC line?

RSL29s would damage the rotors no?

........Turner motor ports M4 CCB pads for 14% off msrp. Some dealers can give 20% discount on some parts. These are for regular F8x cars with CCB. I don't know if they carry or discount GTS pads, but don't see why they would not be able to order them. As you know GTS pads have a different compound than the regular CCBs.

Not a stupid question, you are correct. RSC is the only Pagid pad for CCB rotors. The RSL29 would ruin the rotor and potentially be dangerous. I've used them on my Porsche and found the RSC1 no better than OEM pads. I'm trying to talk Pat into using steel rotors and Ferrodo pads, but he's resistant to try new things.

Whoooh yes sorry guys I totally read over the GTS section listing. Not a stupid question at all, more of a silly me for letting my hands type before my mind reads everything. Yes for cars with ceramic composite rotors you will need to run pads which are designed to be paired with them. RSC Black is what many of our guys have found perform great with the ceramic rotors.

Sorry about the confusion.

Now there is always the option of doing a steel conversion as Randy said, that opens the doors to a host of other options.

Are these RSC pads aftermarket? What's wrong with stock pads? Although I haven't tracked yet, Stock pads seam to be amazing.

Stock pads are great, but don't last long on the track. About 1/3 left after 4 track days for me.
