I'm on the fence about about going, since the route plus drive to & from my place in Colorado Springs will be nearly 500 miles.
Anybody else thinking about going? |

I won't be going but I have done the drive in a previous car once and on my motorcycle many times (it's an annual summer ride); splendid route. Enjoy!

Do you have to be a member to go?
Edit: Looks like it's all up north and I missed the lunch reservation deadline anyways. Oh well...next time.

Contact the event organizer, he may be able to add 1-2 more for the lunch reservation.

My wife and I'll be going...probably taking the M4. It is a long day from Colorado Springs, but it is a route I have not driven. Just took the M to Breckenridge and Rocky Mountain NP West side weekend before last. Drove Loveland pass with zero traffic which was a blast.

Enjoy the drive. I don't think I'll be going. Weather doesn't look too great up in Northern CO. If anyone is up for doing a shorter drive from Colorado Springs on Saturday afternoon, let me know! Thinking about doing a loop on 50 and 24 from Colorado Springs to Poncha Springs, BV, then back to CS. |

Would love to do a drive sometime. This weekend isn't good but hopefully soon. Maybe PM me and we can exchange numbers to get something going sometime.

ElysianFields, the weather is going to be less than stellar no matter where you are in Colorado this Saturday unfortunately. I'm just hoping that whatever percentage chance of rain we end up with maybe adds some cool views with clouds instead of just gray dull skies with misting to heavy rain all day.
I love to drive in just about any weather, but no fan of traffic and even less of a fan of people who treat rain like it is ice/snow. I've never done the route they have chosen, so just planning on making the best of it and hopefully meet some cool people. I'd encourage you to change your mind and come on out.

So looking at a weather model that I know to be very accurate....looking like rain will be light and patchy in the morning up to Cameron Pass with little or no precipitation after lunch.
For anyone interested, here is the imagery. At 10:00 AM At 11:00 AM At 12:00 PM At 1:00 PM At 2:00 PM At 3:00 PM At 4:00 PM

So RMC BMW CCA cancelled this for today, but several didn't get the notice. A few of us decided to do the drive anyway. The forecast I had was spot on. We drove through misting patchy rain to about 5 miles east of Cameron Pass and had dry road for the rest until going up Berthound Pass. C0125 was amazing with really nice winding road and 45 MPH speed limits....still not much of a challenge for my M4 or the M2 who did the drive also, but great scenery and lots of fun.
I was told the club plans on rescheduling the official drive for June 17. Picture of the three cars that did the drive in front of River Rock Café. Food was good and reasonably priced...not many other options though either.

Thanks for sharing the picture and update. Glad to hear you guys still did the drive. Beautiful route, isn't it? Did Cameron and Berthoud have any gravel on the road still? I might head that way on the bike next weekend.

Cameron I think was clean if I remember, Berthound had some in the corners and along edges of the lane. Willow Creek was dry and I was moving with exuberance and don't recall any issues with sand/gravel.
