245/40/19 & 285/35/19 on ZCP f80?

Hello,

I have a 17 ZCP and am going to be lowering on Swift springs this week.

I picked up a set of 19" wheels, and would like to run:

245/40/19 front
285/35/19 back

Mich PS4s or Continental ECS

I feel like my 255/35/19 front currently looks too anemic, and would like to also fill the wheel well more.

This puts the front and rear tire diameter to be almost equal (front still slightly smaller).

For spirited driving will this be okay?

I would do a 265/35/19 instead as that will keep the keep the f/r diameter spot on and also be slightly taller than a 255/35/19.

Thanks,

I was considering that but,

My front is 8.5 and rear is 11.

Id like to have a bit of a stretched look on the front (spacing it out agressively) to match the rear 11 aggressive stretch on 285 ( cant fit wider without non factory camber that I do not want ).

Is it 245/40/19 gonna for sure mess up things / cause decrease in handling?

If you're just pursuing a certain look it'll work somehow but you're setup will cause a crappy handling through understeering (big difference between front and rear) at the front and the stretched sidewall (esp. on track if you do such things...). Never heard of a M3/M4 with 245 at the front. Only Porsche 911 run that kind of combo but they have their engine weight at the rear...

Sorry I assumed when you said you picked up a set of 19" wheels you were talking about oem wheels which are 19x9 and 19x10.

I think an 8.5" wheel is too small for the front and wouldnt use that set up.

Thanks, its actually strange because I have a 255 mpss on the 8.5 wheel but it actually looks stretched, so I'm going to check to make sure its 8.5 and not a 9 or 9.5 and the seller was misinformed.

Thanks for your help

Yea definitely check up on it. If these wheels were intended to be for the M3/4 then in all likelihood it is at least a 9" front as I have never heard of anyone using more narrow rims (aside from a winter setup).
