Flat Tire, What Now???
Just got my 18 ZCP M3, hit the slightest pothole, got a pinch flat.
My car is sitting in front of my house dead as a door nail. Do i have to tow the car every time i get a flat? could use some advise here. i got a tire from tirerack delivered this morning. do i take the wheel off and bring it to a shop? BMW won't touch it because i didn't purchase the tire from them. i don't have a lift or a wrench because the car don't come with them. A little advise from an experienced member would be appreciated. |

The M mobility kit will only work for a small leak. A pot hole hit is never a small leak
Use your road side assist and tow it to BMW. Why won't BMW touch it. If it's an OEM star spec tire they will install it. |

Roadside assistance as noted above.
I ordered 4 tires from Tire Rack and drove them to the dealer for install so unclear why the dealer would refuse to mount and balance a tire. That said, you can get it done many places.

And there is a lot risk mounting tires it's not hard to damage beads so I can see why a lot of shops won't mount your tires and even with a $5 mark up that won't cover a damaged tire but most have great relationships with manufacturers to get it swapped or replaced yours they would have to eat your tire or tell you to go get bent and I've seen that go both ways but most will strip up cover it and never mount a customers purchased tires again. |
