Michelin tire mix up from dealer

So I took my F80 into the dealer to get a service and have them replace my tires. I had pilot super sports and told them that I would like to stick with these tires. When I got home to wash the car I noticed that only one rear tire was a super sport and the other 3 were pilot sport PS2's.

Have any of you had experience with both of these tires? I am definitely going back to the dealer to get this fixed but should I go with the PS2s or the super sports now? I live in california and never take my car out in the rain. I do about 2 track days a year. Thanks guys.

The PS2 are the previous generation Michelin max performance tires that have been superseded by the Super Sport. The Super Sport are greatly superior to the PS2. I would definitely recommend you go back to the dealer to have them changed. Further, the dealer should only install the BMW specific tire designed for the car in question (either PSS or ContiSportContact 5P star spec in the case of the M3/4), unless specifically requested to do otherwise by the vehicle owner. And even further, it is not advised to mix and match tires on car, particularly on the same axle. A 3/1 tire mix is a definitive no-no.

After you get the dealer to replace your tires with the proper PSS, get another dealer. This one is either dishonest or incompetent.

If I lived in California I'd be asking you for the name of this dealer so that I don't show up there by accident and have him screw my car up as well.

I should hear back from the service guy Monday. He said he's going to make it right. If they don't I will let you all know. They've been great up until this point
