Refinishing Forged Monoblock Wheels

Recently purchased some used Signature SV104 wheels and was thinking about getting them refinished. Being they are expensive wheels, I don't want someone to mess them up. I've contacted a couple of local shows that powdercoat wheels, both of them use media blast to remove the old finish. I've read that sometimes that can damage the wheels and chemical removal should be used. Looking for input and recommendations.

You can look for someone that chemical strips and then media blasts with something other than sand. My guy here in nyc uses mettal pellets to blast so actually shotpeens prior to coating.

Good luck with your search.
