Should my M4’s door pockets have ambient lighting?

Can anyone please confirm if the door pockets supposed to have ambient lighting on M4 ?
My footwell lights are so dim almost off.
If I remember correctly my 2017 440i had much better ambient lighting than my 2018 M4.

I have separate thread for how this car came without standard HK sound. Hopefully this ambient lighting is not another issue. Lol

You can adjust the brightness level though the idrive under lighting, interior then ambient lighting. Also make sure the knob by your headlight swich is rolled all the way up.

I did adjust both the knob and iDrive. It makes a difference but that was max level where I took a picture.

The one on top of door panel is perfect.
Footwell is very dull (I have to raise my foot to see if it's on or not)

Door pockets have nothing at all.

I too noticed the ambient lighting is much dimmer than my 2015 435. Maybe it's a "M Performance Driver Focused" lighting feature.

My bad, I just checked the other tread and seen you have convertible. For a second I thought you have the wrong seats installed as well. The leg extension was deleted for coupe only.

Ambient lighting is as it should be
