TPMS Programming
Just bought a 2nd set of OEM wheels w/ TPMS already mounted/installed.
Will I need to re-program the car to have it see the TPMS from the new set of wheels when I mount them? |

The original sending unit part number for TPMS was superseded in Nov 2015 by the part number currently still in use, as you can see below. So TPMS with the current part number should be plug-and-play for all build dates, you don't have to do anything. TPMS with the original part number may have to be registered through iDrive. Build date for my car was Dec 2016. When I purchased a second OEM wheel set and mounted them the car read the senders right away with no input from me. This should also be true for new TPMS purchased for use in aftermarket wheels.
