Assistance with tire/wheel setup
So I have finally narrowed it down my choices to 2 wheel setups
Going on a BSM M3 that will remain stock height 1st choice is HRE FF04 in 19" which look to be stock spec so tires would be 255/275 2nd choice is one of the vorsteiner FF series in 19x9.5 +22 265/35 19x10.5 +34. 295/35 **please let me know of those tire sized are not ideal What has been killing my decision is that my side skirts and lower portion of my door are pretty sand blasted by small rocks..would going with the vorsteiner setup give me a little more "poke" causing even more of this problem? Cause my side skirts will end up looking like an oreo mcflurry Any guidance would be appreciated. After owning a few tuner cars..this will be my first aftermarket setup..so I'm trying not to screw it up or go too aggressive |

HRE FF04 offsets are 25/40, so rear is bone stock & front is 4mm less than stock. You already know the tire sizes you list are also stock. 4mm seems insignificant so basically no difference with this wheel set.
The parameters you list for the other set result in the outer shoulders being significantly further outboard so if you're getting peppered now it will get worse with this combination. Otherwise, the tire sizes you list for this second set seem exactly right to me. |
