Andddddd another nagging bump... several emails sent to a variety of vendors and still no dice. No one in my area (Providence RI) wants to touch it and I'm not looking to ship this thing all the way to Dubai for Bimmer Tech... any help is appreciated!

I am going to assume he is retrofitting out his gauge cluster from the standard 6WA to the full digital 6WB. You can buy them used, but then you have to get them cleared "de-virginized" from the original vehicle's VIN so you can set it to work with your ECU under your VIN.
I am in the midst of looking into this mod myself, but I am probably going to buy a unit new up front so I don't have to deal with this process. It will be about 2x the costs as a used unit, but a total less headache. |

Is it true there is no difference in the model # you buy given its for a F15? I'm seeing a lot of different model numbers out there which gives me some hesitation.
I also can't see why buying a "virginized" cluster even matters if you have to code it anyway...any thoughts here?

I upgraded from 6WA to 6WB and paid the extra bucks for it to come virginized

I have to say it was well worth the upgrade. I look at the cluster now more than I look at my HUD After my lease ends I will sell it in used unvirginized condition and hope to get most of the cash back.

I'm a little smarter than that give me some credit
This seller has tons of factory condition BMW parts as well as used parts in stock. If this was not the case then yes I would doubt his legitimacy

Can you DM me the seller info? Also if the cluster is being virginized it will pick up my mileage automatically or I will have to code it?

It's interesting, but turns out all Canadian cars got 6WB by default starting from 2015. So I'm just thinking sooner or later we should see an influx of 6WB on sales from salvage yards. i mean for them it's just a regular stock dash lol. maybe I should check Canadian kijiji (craigslist like) website eh?
