Which size tires did you go with on the front??? I'm also seriously considering this setup for mine too..... BFG R1 tires....so I'm guessing you are going to drive to the track on your stock wheels-tires and switch once you get there?

I'll bet those handle pretty well in the rain, huh? I can't wait until F1 goes back to slicks next year. I can't even imagine how those cars are going to turn. Use that rubber safely. (No pun intended) Is it weird driving the same car home with D.O.T. legal rubber after a day at the track? I'd be afraid that I'd run it into the trees at the first left turn.

Another request in addition to the previous questions above, will all 4 tires fit in the car? Can you post a pic of how you fit them in the car please.

R-compounds only increase your grip level by 10-20% (maybe less) so the difference between street tires and the track tires isn't that much. I find it very easy to transition from track to street driving. In fact, I find that after I've been in the track, I drive less aggressively on the street, perhaps because I've gotten my fix on the track.

Very cool. Those look much better in a real picture vs. the tire rack site. Also, interested in what wheel widths you are running f/r.

nope - see those two small groves....makes them barely legal on the street. DOT approved.

Exactly how i feel. I drive less aggressive on the street after driving on the track which is why I try to convince people with fast cars to bring them to the track rather then to drive fast on the street.

Those R1's are great tires. I use them in the Skip Barber National race series. I am probably going to get a set of them for my M3 when my Yoko Advan A048's get worn out.

20% is a huge increase IMO. plus I hate to wear out expensive street tires. the R-comps wear better on the track.
