M4 Convertible Squeaking Noise

I have a 2015 M4 Convertible with 12,000 miles. The car has a very annoying intermittent squeak that I cannot pinpoint. I thought it was the brakes, but I have now noticed that the squeaking occurs without touching the brakes. It often seems to occur when the car is on an incline or going over bumps and appears when the car is in motion. The frequency of the noise (when it happens) makes it seem like it is something to do with the front axle.

I have had little luck getting this to happen when I am at the dealer. If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

It's the convertible top that made the squeaking noise, the chassis will flex and that is when you hear the noise.

I had a similar problem with.my E93.
it was the latches on the windscreen.
the dealer fixed it with adjustments and some gumipledge
felt like a new car.

The E93 and F83 have an identical squeak that occurs with the top up over time.
Usually all it takes is to stop safely by the side of the road, open the top just a little bit (without going full convertible), and close it again. That seems to re-align most of the rubber pieces and noise is gone for a few days.

If noise persists, I could recommend using silicone spray and using an old unusable t-shirt, spray some on it and apply to the rubber that separates the top sections.

Does it start happening after few years ?
Mines about a month old it's pretty quiet except brake noise in reverse sometimes.

I really don't think it's the top. The frequency of the noise is such that it seems more related to an axle or the wheels. The noise also sounds like it is coming from under the car. Is it possible that the brakes (or some related component) could squeak even when the brake pedal is not being pressed?

Do you have the updated brake shields on your car? They updated them because road debris would get trapped between the shield and the rotor and create intermittent squealing noises.

This is for the rear axle only, so if it's coming from the front then disregard this.

Are they CCBs?

I do have updated brake shields. All the components are factory components.

I have noticed this noise, and it occurs on my M4 vert after it rains or after it is washed.
I am quite sure that is the convertible top. Once the car dries out, the noise disappears.
