Firestone FireHawk Indy 500
Has anyone run these tires on a F80/F82?
They seem to be really well reviewed on Tire rack and pulled good numbers in their testing. Not looking for all out track performance. The car is daily driven with some spirited driving. |

They're one of the better bang for the buck street tires in the market. I'd put them in the same category as Continental Extreme Contact Sport and Michelin Pilot Sport. The only drawback is tire size selection -- the widest available 19" tire that fits the F80/F82 is 285/35/19 before it makes a crazy jump to 325/30/19

I have these on my DD after running Continental Extreme Contact Sport. No comparison. The Contis are much better. Better grip, do not make a peep when cornering or hard braking, etc. I only bought the Indy 500 because I was trying to save some money. I would rather spend the extra $ and get the Contis again. Can't say yet, but the new Conti compound lasts longer than previous gen DW. I'd guess that they would last longer than the Indy 500.

Have them for 2 months and see no issues. felt better comfort than michelin all season ps tires. had better grip once the tires are over 75f. No slip on the tightest corners(ex did 35+ in tight 15 mph turns). provides confidence to push the car. Slips a lot in the rain. Nail magnet. had a nail stuck on the rear right tire wall and had to replace it for 25 bucks under warranty. Spent 800 for all four. Extremely satisfied.
