Front tire wear > rear tire wear
I just took the summer tires off my M4 and put the winter tires on. I checked tire depth and it turned out my front are more worn than rears, which surprises me in a RWD car.
7mm rear depth 5mm front depth It's my original set of tires , but since I switch to a winter set every year, I probably have about 12k miles on these tires out of the 19k miles I've driven. Anyone else encounter this? |

My fronts did seem to wear faster than my rears, but not by much. I ordered rear tires less than a month after I replaced the fronts. I guesstimate I only got about 20k miles out of them because I also ran winter wheels last winter.
All in all I only got one and half spring/summer seasons out of my oem tires. |

Did you measure the tread from the center of the treadblock or more towards the outer edge? If you corner aggressively I can definitely see how the outer edge of the front tires would wear faster than the rears. In this case it would be due to the lack of front camber.
