power wire for radar detector

Hi Everyone, just picked up a 2017 X5 50i M Sport. LOVE IT!!! I wanted to run a power wire to my radar detector through the rear view mirror console. Has anyone done this or know which wires are power and ground there? Thanks in advance!

I have my Valentine mounted to my rear view with the https://www.blendmount.com. If I remember correctly, you can use a https://www.blendmount.com/mirrortap.html and tap into:

Power: Grey/Purple
Ground: Brown/Black

But...always use a voltmeter to double check for power and ground wires...

I have it hard wired through the rear view mirror. Check the F30 forum.
