Went for a T-Shirt. Left with an X6.

Ever come across one of those deals you just can't pass on?
We swung by the the dealership because the Missus wanted to look at some BMW swag.
Ended up trading my
'15 X6 xDrive 50i M-Sport (black sapphire metallic on black dakota)
for a
'19 X6 xDrive 35i M-Sport (space grey on coral red dakota).
THE DEAL:
The car was used by client advisors to shuttle customers and had 4,500 miles. Immaculate. Never been titled.
They knocked $15,161 off the $77,660 sticker for the miles.
BMW Finance rebated $6,000 for a promotion.
Minus another $750 for a "loyalty rebate."
USAA then chipped in another $250 new-car rebate.
I ended up $3,187.66 to the good for my trade.
I paid $52,311.34 for a $77,660 car.
New Factory Warranty is good through 1/31/2023.
BMW Ultimate Care is good through 1/31/2022.

Wow...good deal. If you are a BMW CCA (BMW car club of America) member...don't forget you also qualify for an additional rebate from the club.

Here's a link to see what you'd qualify for. If you aren't a member and decide to join...use my member # (see my sig below) to join.

Holy crap, I was getting all excited till I got to the very bottom. It reads like my vehicle wouldn't qualify. The rebate for X5/6/7 is $1,000!
From the site...
INELIGIBLE VEHICLES/PROGRAMS
New, non-registered vehicles in excess of 1,000 miles including company vehicles, retail demos or loaner vehicles. 3rd party brokers, lease companies, etc. do not qualify.

Ahh...that's too bad. Yep, it looks like buying a company demo doesn't qualify for the rebate.

But the club is still great if you're not a member...there's the Roundel magazine (that keeps you up to snuff as to what's going on with BMW and what's coming down the pike...as well as maintenance and other interesting articles). And there's the annual raffle (I live for that anticipation of winning a new car ).

BTW, this year's BMW CCA Octoberfest celebration won't be that far from you. It's being held at the BMW plant in Spartanville SC. There should be some other links on the website that you can access. Without membership there some things you can't see.

But again, congrats on the new ride. I hope you have many miles of happiness.

Not a member and kind of surprised it's not come up before now, LOL. Thanks for the tip.
Currently perusing the club's website and closest chapters' events calenders. This may be something I'd be interested in.
BTW, we did a tour of the Spartanburg plant a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to go back sometime.

It’s a disease. I have gone in for a service and drove away in a different car. The chief procurement officer of my family just shakes her head

Sorry, no V6. Better gas mileage? In any case, congrats to Teufelshund for an awesome deal!

Trust me when I say that I'll dearly miss the 140 horses I cut from the herd.
But I'll not miss wondering if this is the day I'll need to add another two quarts of oil.
And it'll be nice to get a few more miles between fill-ups.
I must say however, so far this I6 has happily complied with every request for haste.

Maybe I missed it, but did they give you a good amount for your '15?

Naw you didn't miss it. I just mentioned that I ended up with about 3,200 in equity. I'd have to dig up the order for the exact figure but I owed about 25,700 on the X5 and they gave 28,900. Granted, I could've sold it for more but I would've likely missed out on the X6. They hadn't even put it on the lot or listed it on their website yet. Right place, right time. Even so, from what I saw on KBB, that appears to a decent trade offer.
