Has anyone had any issues with their 2015 or 2016 X5M boot shaft leaking due to lowering their car? Just purchased my car with 29,000 on it and put the H&R Springs VTF on and the dealer is telling me it's because the car is lower and putting extra pressure on the boot shaft due to the angle? Would love some put as I am extremely frustrated. Not sure whether to put the OEM springs back on.

So far I have not heard of this being an issue with the F15, but who knows.

It is a common problem with the older E46 XI cars when lowered, they will eat front half shafts... Maybe your service adviser have dealt with E46 issues in the past, and thus assumes same issue here?

I have over over 10k miles on my VTF spring setup, and so far no issues. (knock on wood)

How low is your car? Ground to fender in the front? What size wheels do you have?

Yes, I think the CV boot is the same as the boot shaft.

Bottom of fender trim to ground is around 29 3/4"

Currently riding on 19" stock wheels with spacers from Ben r33_RGSport..

Here is a picture from the day I had the VTF springs installed.
(yes, wheels look small, likely going to 20" in a week or two, need to make up my mind of forged wheel style I want and bug Ben about it... )
