Metallic rattle

With all these threads I see about rattles lately it finally seems Ive caught one on as well. As you can hear in the video it's more of a paused rattle then pause rattle vice versa but at other times seems like depending on weather conditions or how warm the car is it gets louder and is a constant rattle with no pause. Noise is most noticeable either while Im parked, idle at a redlight or slowly accelerating from a complete stop. Ive searched and found some common cause being a heatshield, exhaust bracket, wastegate and such. Any pointers on what it could be? I have made an appointment for the dealer next week but I feel as if it'll just be diagnosed with a "it's normal" thing. Thanks!

Maybe a loose heat shield or something like that. Do you have race ramps. May need to pull it up or get on a lift and pull the lower panel off.

Hard to tell unless you start looking around. Get a piece of hose and put one end to your ear and the other start prodding around to hear where it's coming from.

Thanks for the tips much appreciated. Luckily I have a ramp so will try this and Im sure I have some sort of hose like object in the basement. Guess the best thing I can do is try to pinpoint where it's coming before I have it checked out at the dealer.

If you're gonna go to the dealer anyway then don't waste your time. They'll find it easy enough. Especially since it's constant and you don't need to put stress on the suspension requiring a test drive.

They replaced the belt, belt tensioner and idler pulley. They found the tensioner shaking vigorously especially whenever climate control was on which was also when the metallic noise was loudest.
