How old are F15 owners? Car ownership history?

Stole this idea from the F30 forums and couldn't find a thread here on it (sorry if there already is).

Currently 27 and work for a helicopter touring company based in Las Vegas.

1st: 2003 Toyota Tundra
This was the first car that my dad bought new (honestly, I think it still is). Became my car when he moved onto a 2008 BMW X3. Good memories from taking the truck off-roading and cliff jumping.

2nd: 2008 Mazda 3
Another hand-me-down, this time from my older brother. Brought me to and from school as well as weekend trips to California.

3rd: 2008 E90 328I
Short lived before it was totaled.

4th: 2009 E90 328I
Too many problems; could have been a lemon since it was bought used. Decided to trade in for the next.

5th: 2013 Scion tC
First car that I bought on my own. Was hit with the mod bug - sometimes I cringe when I remember how loud and distasteful the exhaust was (burned tip and all).

6th: 2013 F30 328I
After a year of owning the tC, I decided to move back to BMW. Took a hit on trade, but was much happier in the end. The F30 was a great car minus all the warranty work that was done (turbo, seats, windows, header). It definitely payed to have the extended warranty. Probably paid less than $200 in deductibles.

7th: 2015 F15 x5 M-Sport
Jeez. It's been a wild 11 years, but honestly, the x5 is my favorite so far. I like this body style more than the G05; however, I do like the tech that is in the G05. I had the car less than a month and again, got bit by the mod bug. So many great things to empty my wallet on.

Just thought I would share and was curious about other members here. Latest photo below - kidney grilles are a PITA.

I’m 30, I do financial services work, payments and e-commerce.

Technically only owned three cars all BMW X5.

2001 X5 4.4i E53:
My folks bought this new. I drove it in high school. Almost rolled it going 60 mph around a right turn. Basically after I got my license the keys were permanently in my pocket. When I went to college my folks basically gave it to me; but then they had already gotten a 2005 Cayenne Turbo as a result and later a 2008 S500/550. I had driven the hell out of the E53 but it needed a lot work around 160k miles—Private buyer offered me $10k.

2009 X5 4.8i E70:
I got this car in college. I drove from New York to ski on the west coast twice a year with a group of friends. It was tons of fun. The NA motor really struggled in the high altitudes in CO. I’ve gotten six speeding tickets in it. All for going 110-120 mph in various states. You could say I didn’t know what slowing down was. It had the ugliest 18” rims but it meant I wasn’t afraid of any potholes and tires were much cheaper. Eventually after college I move to China so I left this car at their home. My folks used it to run errands. In 2013 my dad wanted to preorder the redesigned Range Rover so I signed the title off and let me dad trade this car in. You could say the circle does go round.

2015 X5 50i F15:
My current car. Got in California when I moved back from China. I actually wanted to get a S550 Coupe but I got talked out of it. I really kind of regret that but whatever. So I went to a familiar face and got the F15. I called twenty dealers to find the car I wanted. I didn’t order. I just had a list of options I wanted and what I was willing to sacrifice to get a good deal. I honestly didn’t do much research. I am quite happy with this car. Only wish I had looked for one with adaptive suspension/DHP and not third row seats. This is one of the compromises I made when looking at all the dealer existing stock. I drive this car everywhere. Done off road, trails, forests, snow, dirt, sand, gone all around. Maybe it’s good I didn’t get a sedan.
