Bell Audi in Edison offered me 20k for my m3
Wanted to share this funny story lol.
I saw a gt350 at the dealership wanted to see what I’d get for my car It’s a 16 m3 with 45k miles tanzanite blue dct. . The car is xpel stealth wrapped. Awe exhaust and cold air intake. I’ve traded in many cars before but this dealership was insane; the used car manager took me outside pointed out every little defect on the car. (Tiny curb rash on wheel, small scratch on carbon fiber trim (inside vehicle), the carbon fiber lip has a rash that’s only seen under the car. Anyways he was basically insulting my car. Then he looks under and says car has no cats. I said wrong it does. He proceeds to argue with me. Either ways I told him I have all original parts expect the oem wheels and all the carbon stuff would come off anyways since I added those. After going back in with the salesman this dude comes to me with a slip and offers me 19.7k. Kbb value was 41k trade in. He took off 8k bc the car “has no cats” another 4K for wheels, another 2k for carbon fiber stuff “cracking”. “We would have to invest a lot of money into the car”. I said no because I have all the original parts except wheels but you don’t need oem wheels to sell the car I forgot the rest was. I wish I took a picture of it. But I was shocked. I just walked up and left. Pretty wild. Previous cars I’ve traded in they literally gave me the kbb trade in value. Drove the car once and that was it. |

Their main goal is always to scam people and maximize profit. I would say okay and offer 20k below asking for what you want to buy from them

I wouldnt take it personally, just another way of dealer telling you that they dont want your trade in.. I know its tough but just how some dealers play their games.

I've rarely gotten less than KBB and even if I have it's been within a couple percentage points of it. Something I'm willing to let go of if they have the car I want. But a 20k hit on an individual color car that's well kept. B*tch please!
